Learn how to add approval steps to any Action Item (Task), Workflow, or Unit Workflow.

Approval Automation eliminates chaos around existing approval processes by incorporating your approval steps directly into the Leonardo247 platform.  Simple and easy to use, approval steps may be added to any Action Item (Task), Workflow, or Unit Workflow to transition the approval processes out of offline systems and into Leonardo247.

Setting approval steps requires permission to add/edit Action Items (Tasks), Workflows, and Unit Workflows.

Adding Approval Steps

Add approval steps to any Action Item (Task) Workflow, or Unit Workflow task by selecting Add Step in the Approvals section of the Task Form. 

In this example, we will add approval steps to the Incident Report Workflow by editing the item:

  1. Select "Edit" on the desired item (in this example: Incident Report Workflow.)
  2. Scroll to "Approvals" > Select "Add Step."
  3. Under "Contact information", select "preferred approvers" by User or by Role.
    a. Select "Out of office override" if desired.
  4. Set the preferred days required for approval.
    a. Select "Make it time sensitive" if desired.
  5. Select "Add a Reminder" if desired.
    a. Complete within x days.
    b. Send an email every x days.
  6. Select "Save."
  7. Select Save on the "New Item form".

Repeat steps 2-7 until all approvers within your approval process are added.
